Letters to My Former Single Self: Week 4

This week's question:
Describe your first date with your now current partner. Did you feel any "butterflies" on your first couple of encounters? Did you have any indication it would later be the "real deal?" 

Dear Sharon,

You "meet" your future hubby on MySpace. You don't think much of it, but then you start talking on the phone and those phone conversations last for hours. You'll have your first date about a month later and by that time, it feels like you already know him. You'll worry about it being a Catfish situation (aka him turning out to be an 80 year old or worse), but phew, he looks just like the photos.

On your first date, he drives into the city to meet you for brunch. After french toast, you decide to rent a movie since it's raining outside. We rent Must Love Dogs. (Ironic, since he loves dogs and you better love them too). We talk so much during the movie that we barely even pay attention to it. The date couldn't have gone more perfectly and you can't stop thinking about him when it's over. You won't know at the time that you'll wind up marrying him, but you do know right away that this is something special. 

3 and a half years later and we're engaged...

  

  And a year after that we're married!
