Friday night I was woken up at 1 am to a man and a woman screaming at each other. There was a lot of cursing and name calling. They really wanted the other person to know how much they hated each other. I was two seconds away from calling the cops for fear I'd witness a murder/suicide, and then luckily the screaming stopped.
This is how you know you live in the beach slums. I'm pretty sure in the upscale towns the couples just fight in the privacy of their own homes instead of letting the entire neighborhood hear their dirty laundry in the middle of the night.

Oh I'm hearing you! All my neighbours are lovely, apart from the ones I'm directly next to and we here them quite regularly. I can't think of anything worse than arguing in the middle of the street for everyone to hear! Loving the dotty blouse :)x

Being woken up by someone arguing sucks, I once had neighbors that would get drunk and fight every weekend! We actually did have to call the cops one time.

Oh yuck. We used to wake up to stuff like that in my parents neighborhood back when I still lived there - and then a bunch of people moved (well had their homes taken away more or less) and the neighborhood has really turned around.

ReplyDeletefirst, love the dots and stripes. Second, I have neighbors like that! Except mine live in an apartment complex with only 15 units, it's small and we all at least know each other's face. Said neighbor lives next to the laundry room in my complex, and they are always screaming at each other at the top of their lungs. Some days I just want to knock on the door and say "hey guys, maybe you can't see this, but I strongly recommend you stop dating, it's clearly not working." I don't think it has anything to do with where you live, just stupid people :D

That must have been very stressful to witness... I simply hate it when people have private arguments or anything private out in the public like that... I was raised not to bother anybody else, and to keep my private issues to private. You're not supposed to cause a scene like that...

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. We had a strange neighbor once in WA state the was wielding a gun out in the parking lot and ordering his wife to come out of the house! Oh I was so close to calling the police. Then ya, suddenly it stopped.
So similar, huh? It was a nice townhouse complex but my gosh we had a nuts-so next door.
Oh how I wish I could be a sponsor, but my cash flow is non-existent this month. ...sorry.

*sigh* We have neighbors like this as well, I've called the cops a few times because I thought they were going to end up beating each other and yet every week, they're right back at it. (We've just had a range of bad neighbors, we ended up with a swat team in our yard a few years back when one neighbor got out his rifles and starting yelling that he was going to shoot everyone in the building. We all were huddled in the bathtub hoping he didn't end up shooting, the walls are so thin the bullets would have gone right through. Blah, people.) I feel for you, that stuff sucks.
