Yep, the dogs decided it would be fun to bust open their dog bed (which they LOVE, btw) and there was stuffing everywhere.
This kind of thing doesn't usually happen because normally Oliver is in his crate when I get home. (Jinx is the one in the photo, but I'm 99.9% positive that this was Oliver's plan and Jinx just helped). But yesterday my hubby made the decision to trust Oliver and let him roam free while we weren't home.
Oliver: 1, Hubby: 0.

Whoops! Looks like they had a blast :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend Hun xoxo

Aww, naughty doggies! My cats pulled something similar with some paper towels once. I've learned to not leave the paper towels out!
ReplyDeleteHaha i trust you know your dogs too well, you know which helped with the mess lol, Happy new year to you darling:)

Oh no! What a way to start the weekend!! How can you be mad at those faces though??
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
I laughed so hard when I saw this picture on Instagram! It's funny that dogs do this to things they treasure. One of my dogs took the stuffing out of this favorite toy and was so depressed that I had to restuff it and sew to back together! I'm pretty sure my dogs have me wrapped around their little paws :)

Oh no!! Silly doggies. I hope it wasn't too awful to clean up.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!! (with hopefully zero doggie mishaps)
Hah hah. Oops!
ReplyDeleteOh no!
ReplyDeleteOh oh! Husby got to clean it up, right? Our little mini-schnauzer/cocker mix has ruined so many beds. I decided to duck tape the bottom of her current bed to repair it. After I presented it to her all taped up, she promptly flipped it over and tore off one long piece of tape; bammm, in nothing flat. Well, I grabbed it from her and said NO!!! STOP!!! hmmmm, she hasn't done it since. Hopefully, she is learning. She is only 17 months old.
ReplyDeleteThank you for noticing little "Blue Coat" was repaired lovingly. (hug)
Our dogs have gone through so many beds too. This is not the first incident!
DeleteYour dog is still a puppy, so at least there's hope for you! :)
Awww!!! Yeah Kobi has gone thru so many dog beds.. it's getting ridiculous!! He loves taking stuffing out of it which sucks! So now it looks mutated with holes and we stuff his stuffed animals in those holes to keep the bed lasting longer b/c we refuse to buy him another bed. We bought way too many! hahaha... trouble makers!

Our dog starts to do stupid stuff like this in the winter too. I think it's cabin fever; spring can't come soon enough!

Sharon, that's so funny my Pigely did the same thing to his bed a few weeks back. He's still waiting for Santa (aka mommy/me) to purchase a new one, but you're right he does love his stinky old little bed...

ReplyDeleteI'm in stitches but totally understand. My three chis have been total brats since the cold weather hit and they don't want to use their dog door to venture out into the cold.
ReplyDeleteOhhh no...Looks like they have a lot of fun, and they need a New Year's gift now:)

LOL! Sorry have to laugh because my puppy has ruined so many things lately! You should enter them on dogshaming, its a good time! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have starting putting Emma in the kennel when we are gone for a few hours or less and at least we get to come home and be happy with her rather than punish her ;)
I submitted both my dogs to Dogshaming a while back but they never made it onto the site!
DeleteNaughty... but adorable!
ReplyDeleteRats!!! That sucks, but you gotta LOVE them!! Wait until you see the mess kids make...that's when the fun really starts!
ReplyDeleteOh, no, what a mess! The things they do when your not home huh?
ReplyDeletehttp://heidiswanderings.blogspot.com/
oh my goodness. whenever i see stuff like this or hear stories about naughty pups i thank my lucky stars that my pup was trustworthy right after crate training [total fluke, we got a totally human dog, i think].
ReplyDeleteyou should do one of those dog-shaming pictures [the one with the sign of what the dog did, "i tore up my dog bed and spread stuffing throughout the whole house"], maybe even include the hubs [his sign may read "trusted the dog"]?

www.thesecondbestblog.com
yikes!! don't you think that dogs would have enough common sense to not destroy their own bed? (the answer is no!) well, your husband may learn that trusting them might not be the best idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, poor sweet babies! They probably got so bored, they decided to look for something fun to do. Are they on their own all day? Hope they didn't swallow any of the stuffing. x
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! So funny! I'd hate to think what would happen with Stella and my other two Jack Russells loose together in the house without us home! Stella still has to be kenneled when we're not around. She LOVES to take the stuffing out of bedding! Hope you had a Happy New Year Sharon! -Jess L THEJESSICALBLOG.COM
ReplyDeleteAhhh I would hate coming home to that. But we love our dogs anyways. :) Hope you have a great weekend Sharon!

hahahaha! bad doggy and hubby decision! have a great weekend sharon! it can only get better.

oh no! Our dogs get to roam free after years of good behavior, but if I leave anything stuffed out they will rip it apart in seconds. I also have a ring leader and a follower... I guess there's only room for one in each home :D
ReplyDeleteOh no! Well I guess there's only one way to solve it...let the mister clean it up! It was HIS idea ;)
ReplyDeletehahahahaha it seems like it wasn´t a good idea to let him roam free, righ?? Anyway it could be worst...It´s just stuffing!! XD
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for following, we follow you back!
