While it may feel like spring for some of you, I'm still in boots over here. With these freezing cold temps, I need to keep my feet warm. Today I'm wearing a pair of Chrissy's Socks with my riding boots. Not only do they look cute, but they're super cozy too! Chrissy's has hundreds of knee high socks from solids (like I'm wearing in navy) to fun prints/patterns such as plaid, polka dots, and stripes just to name a few.

Chrissy's Socks is giving away three pairs of socks (of your choosing) to one lucky winner! Enter below.

Hello Toothpaste Review

I was sent Hello Toothpaste to try out. The first thing I noticed was the bright, colorful packaging and the fresh, modern designs. It is seriously the cutest toothpaste I've seen!

Hello Toothpaste actually matches my bathroom decor, which is mint green with a beach theme. It's something I'd keep on the counter instead of hiding in the cabinet.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover all the fun flavors that it comes in: Pink Grapefruit Mint, Peach Mango Mint, Mojito Mint, and Supermint. My favorite was the Peach Mango Mint, which was delicious! I've never used toothpaste before in that flavor and it was a nice alternative to the usual mint. For those that have kids, they also make Bubble Gum, Green Apple, and Blue Raspberry in their kids line (kinda jealous I'm not a kid). They have no artificial sweeteners, dyes, or preservatives and are made in the USA. Hello Toothpastes have the ADA seal of acceptance. They also never test on animals, which is important to me as an animal lover.

You can purchase Hello Toothpaste at Target

eShakti Shift Dress Review

Dress-c/o eShakti, Jacket-Xhilaration (similar Bernardo Faux Leather Jacket), Clutch-Vintage (similar Natasha Couture Clutch), Boots-Naturalizer (similar Wilma Modern Flat Boots)

I was contacted by eShakti to pick one of their items for review. I selected this Colorblock Cotton Knit Shift Dress, since I can never get enough stripes! On their site you can either order the item in a standard size (XS all the way to 6X!) or do a custom size using your own measurements. You can also customize the sleeve length, the dress length, and the neckline. I decided to do the standard size in an XS. I customized the length to "mini" (they ask you to provide your height). However, as you can see, I would not consider this to be minidress length as it comes almost to my knees.

For the overall fit, I would have preferred the dress to be more fitted through the hip/thigh area since it's a bit loose on me. That being said, I am pleased with the quality of the dress and love that it has pockets. I'm looking forward to wearing this dress again in the spring minus the jacket!

Winter Cargo Jacket

Jacket-Old Navy (similar Billabong Jacket), Mossimo Tee, Necklace-Gift (original House of Harlow 1960 Leather Station Necklace), Leggings-Romeo & Juliet Couture, Hunter Kids Original Rainboots

Monday morning I took Oliver out for his walk before work. It was a skating rink out there thanks to melting snow that froze overnight. Marley, a poodle who is his arch nemesis, was coming around the corner. Olls went nuts (as he always does) barking his little head off. Marley barked back. Olls pulled to go towards Marley and BAM, I slip on the ice. Thankfully I didn't break an ankle but I was so flustered that I had to bring Oliver back inside till he calmed down. Sigh.

PS Don't be fooled by these photos. I wore this Sunday when it warmed up to a whopping 41 degrees! (It pretty much felt was like summer).

Oscars 2015 Fashion + Go Commando

Did you guys watch the Oscars last night? Okay, I admit I only watched some of the awards (10 pm is my bedtime) but of course I tuned in to the red carpet coverage...the fashion is more important to me than the awards. Let's discuss!

Rosamund Pike was best dressed for me. Red was a popular color on the carpet but she looked absolutely stunning. Love the lace, the fit, and the major slit!

As expected, Reese Witherspoon looked amazing in this black and white number. It looks fresh and modern on her.

Emma Stone is my go-to fashion guru. She looked like the Oscar itself in this detailed gold dress.

Never thought I'd pick Lady Gaga as one of my fashion favs, but this may be this best she's ever looked (I could lose the gloves). I like seeing this toned down, glamorous side of her lately.

Which of these celebs do you think were confident enough to go commando in their gowns? We've got slits, white dresses, and skin tight fabric. Vote below!

Who dared to go commando?

Rosamund Pike
Reese Witherspoon
Emma Stone
Lady Gaga

Look What I Got: Bodycon Dress

Forever 21 Sweet Side Bodycon Dress//Topshop Patent Pumps//Natasha Couture Box Clutch//Townsend Victoria Garnet Ring

This is what I wore for Valentine's Day for our dinner date. I wanted to take photos (I know, bad blogger) but it was dark in the restaurant and snowing outside so it didn't happen. (You can check out my Instagram for a selfie). This burgundy and black lace Forever 21 dress was just $12.50! I was a little worried about the quality but it did not disappoint. The material was actually thicker than I expected which was great on a cold winter night. I was really pleased with both the bodycon fit and the length (size up if you're tall). The sweetheart neck was very flattering and I didn't feel too exposed thanks to the lace. This dress also comes in a bunch of other colors (black, teal, pink, red, royal, white) so it would work well for other occasions. It is such a steal that I just may buy it in another color!

Buffalo Plaid + Camel

Shirt-Aeropostale Boys (similar Love Tree Fashion Shirt) , Cardigan-American Eagle (similar Mossimo Cardigan), Old Navy Rockstar Jeans, Bag-Forever Tiff Couture (similar Forever 21 Quilted Bag), Boots-Nordstorm (similar Steve Madden Intyce Boots), Bracelet-Sassy Steals (original Stella & Dot Renegade Cluster Bracelet)

This weekend was ridiculously cold. As in, a high of 19 degrees and wind gusting to 50 mph on Sunday plus a new batch of snow. Needless to say, I did not leave the house yesterday. Too cold to do anything but hibernate! If you're wondering, these photos were previously taken when I was able to go outside without needing a parka, hat, gloves, and snow boots.

I'm remixing my red buffalo plaid shirt (again). I've said it before and I'll say it again...it was hands down my best purchase this season. Today I paired it with a simple camel cardigan. I've also worn it with a striped cardigan, black pants, and black boots...one of the many ways I've styled it!
